You can, but you shouldn't. High pressure cracks aging vinyl, drives water behind the panels, and strips caulk at the seams. Vinyl should be soft washed — low pressure plus detergent — which is the method the siding manufacturers themselves recommend.
What is the chalky white residue on my vinyl siding?
That's oxidation — UV breakdown of the panel surface, most common on south- and west-facing walls and on older siding. Washing removes the loose chalk and all biological growth; heavy oxidation sometimes needs an additional hand-scrub restoration pass, which we'll price separately and only if it's worth doing.
Will cleaning fix faded vinyl siding?
Cleaning restores the true color hiding under dirt, algae, and chalk, and the difference is usually dramatic. It cannot reverse pigment fade that has gone all the way through the panel — we'll tell you which one you're dealing with before you spend anything.
